RH is the epitome of Luxury shopping as far as I’m concerned. I would love to furnish my entire home with RH inspired finds. The leathers are supple, the stone is sublime, and the mirrors…oh the mirrors. Just visiting an RH gallery is an event in itself. If you have to opportunity to slide in a visit to the RH courtyard restaurant, you really should treat yourself. It is an experience you won’t regret.
On a recent day trip to Nashville, Tennessee, we wanted to visit three distinct stores: Crate and Barrel, West Elm, The Mall at Green Hills, and of course, the RH gallery. The store boasts four levels and 70,000 square feet of interior and exterior space. That’s right, 70,000 square feet of beauty.
Let me show you what inspired us:
RH decor pieces
The moss bowls were absolutely everywhere. They are stunning, and subtle. The moss used is absolute decorating perfection.
The lambs wool throw shown here was one of the softest textiles I have ever touched. It was completely stunning. They have another one that is cashmere for half the price, and it is amazing as well. The artistry in the RH pieces show their dedication to quality and to luxury.
RH furniture pieces
The floor lamp resembles a library reading lamp to me. I love the swing arm so it can easily be used beside a chair, a sofa, or even the bed. The task lighting is extremely flexible and the look is understated, yet dramatic at the same time.
The martini table comes in silver, matte black and bronze. It is large enough for a couple of glasses, but not much more. It really is perfect to sit between two accent chairs in a conversation area.
The velvet pillow covers. AH! I can’t even tell you how soft these were. They were truly amazing and they come in several color ways. They are stunning and light simply reflects off of the as if they are an art form all their own.
RH mirrors, lamps, and bathroom items
The mirrors at RH are always stunning. I can’t even tell you how reflective they are. It’s unlike any other mirror I’ve seen from any other retailer. They are GORGEOUS.
The Wright lamps look like they were forged in fire and brushed with nickel. They were glorious and heavy. Paired with the wooded night stands with brass hardware? The mixed metals was stunning.
Lastly, the matte black bathroom accessories. They had a color depth to them that was hard to comprehend. I mean, they’re black, yes, which makes them close to perfection. But these? They were something on a whole other level of beautiful.
High Low Versions
As enamored as I am with RH, the price point is far – far outside our reach. I do love the aesthetic and want to try to recreate it as much as possible, on a budget. Here is what we purchased instead. As far as we know, no one can tell the difference!
Lamps and drink table
We purchased this swing arm task lamp as soon as we moved into our apartment. We knew the size would be perfect for a smaller space, and we have found the functionality to be exactly what we needed. The light is dimmable, and the power is at the top of the arm so you don’t have to reach to the floor to toggle the light on and off.
The side table was almost an exact match to the RH inspired martini table. It comes in a couple of inches shorter, but beside the height, it is so close no one can tell if we bought it from RH or from amazon.
The pharmacy floor lamp come in at $64.00.
The DAR cadan drink table comes in at $75.
Throw blankets
We purchased this Nido Notte Italia throw blanket from Ross for Less approximately four years ago. It is unavailable now. However, we have purchased others from amazon like this one and they are absolutely fantastic. They are heavy enough but not too heavy, warm enough but not enough to make you hot, and they hold up wash after wash. The Arus throw comes in at $31.
Mirrors, lamps, and bathroom accessories
The mirrors we purchased about twenty years ago. They are no longer available. While I purchased these on clearance at $7.00 each, it is unrealistic to think they could be purchased for near that these days.
Here is a very similar version, coming in at $39.00
The lamps, also, were purchased about 20 years ago from The Home Depot. They are no longer available. Here is a similar lamp coming in at $60.00
Finally, our bathroom accessories. We love a good matte black soap pump. These were a complete steal coming in at under $20 for the set of two!
We have them styled up with some concrete storage boxes, and a small wooden riser.
