You guys! This July 4th is going to be a total celebration. Have you seen all the inspiration online? The stores are full of amazing July 4th decor items – everything from kitchen tea towels to those little ribbon flags! Have you seen those? OH MY GOODNESS the CUTENESS. I can hardly bear it.
It has inspired me to do a little outdoor decorating myself. When we moved in April 2025, I got rid of every single bit of my July 4th decor; all of the little fireworks outdoor yard decor, the red, white, and blue twinkle lights, the flag bunting banner. I got rid of all of it. We didn’t have a place to use it, and to be honest, I didn’t want to store it. But I think I was a little short sighted.
This year is a pretty big deal. So, I’ve replaced a few outdoor July 4th decor items: A cute door wreath, a little banner that reads “Let Freedom Ring,” a ribbon tassel garland, and two outdoor buntings – one for the front patio, and one for the back. But I do have a whole bunch more in my cart and on order. In fact, I believe a couple of them were delivered today. (I’ll show you pictures once everything arrives…)
Want to see what I’ve been curating? It’s a good thing I don’t have a bigger space to decorate or I would purchase every single thing in this curation.
July 4th done classic…
First of all, I could not get this little flag bunting in my cart fast enough. It is so super cute. I couldn’t resist. But, I may also add the napkins. I mean… what???? They’re so great for July 4th! And they’ll be great for any summer picnic, if you ask me.
I already own a blue and white table runner and a wicker tray, and wicker napkin rings. Putting together a cute table scape would be a breeze.

July 4th done Americana style…
BUT! If you like a little more Americana style set up, these little beauties are totally cute, too! I have some similar buntings for our front and back patios, but I’m eyeing that 1776 pillow…and the solar powered lights… and the little outdoor flag.

July 4th decor 2026!
There is always something challenging to me about searching through my home decor to see what I can use that I already own – that means FREE decor! While our home decor leans heavily on neutrals, I really do want to put a little July 4th excitement into it…at least for the week of July 4th.
So I looked through all my home decor, took a quick trip to a local antique mall, and ran into Hobby Lobby for a few simple pieces. I tried to keep it simple; a few colored florals added to a summer arrangement, a couple of fun American flags, blue placemats with red napkins, and a few antiques I found at the antique mall. Over all, I’m very pleased with how it’s come to gather. I hope you’ll enjoy looking through the photos.

So tell me, do you host a party, picnic, or BBQ for July 4th? Do you have any family traditions for the holiday? If so, do you decorate your porch, patio, or balcony? I’d love to know if you get into the season, and what you do to celebrate! Leave a comment and let me know. I can’t wait to hear from you.
This year is a big year. I can’t wait to celebrate.
