Growing up I remember all the home stores having January White Sales. Do you remember those, too? It doesn’t seem like I see January white sales as much these days. To be honest, I can’t remember the last time I saw a store even run home goods items on sale in January, at all. So I thought today would be a good day to share a few items that will help you on your way to an easy January home refresh!

Refresh your bathroom basics
I don’t know about you, but sometimes I pull my towels, wash cloths, bath mats, or shower curtain out of the washer and dryer and think, “Eww! These really look gross!” I’m all about home remedies and will often try a little stain remover, a shot of bleach, or a good baking soda soak. But when those methods fail, I know it’s time to do a little home refresh.
BATH TOWELS: Here are the bath towels, hand towels, and wash cloths we love. (There are also a few we like from Walmart, but at this time, they are unavailable.) These towels are soft and absorbent, they wash up well, and after almost two years they are still going strong.
This 18-piece set comes with six bath towels, six hand towels, and six wash cloths. They are highly absorbent and quick dry. For the price, they really can’t be beat.
Lane Linen Luxury Cotton Bathroom Towel Set
BATH MATS: Next are the Utopia Bath Mats! These bath mats are made from high quality 100% ring-spun cotton. They are reversible, and do not come with a rubber backing, which makes them a breeze to wash and dry!
They feel plush under your feet when stepping out of the bath or shower, and come in an array of colors to match your specific color scheme of your home.
SHOWER CURTAINS: If you struggle with keeping your shower curtain or curtain liner fresh, then this one is going to make your life so much easier! This hotel style waffle weave shower curtain comes with a detachable liner of the same color, and free 12 white metal hooks.
One bonus we’ve loved is having the sheer section at the top curtain. If you have low lighting or dim lighting, this shower curtain is a game changer! It is easily machine washable and dries quickly. I’m sure you’ll love it as much as we do.
Refresh your bedding basics
Call me crazy, but spending hundreds of dollars on bedding is not my idea of a good time! Don’t get me wrong, I love luxury bedding as much as the next gal. In fact, there really isn’t anything like crawling into freshly laundered, pressed sheets at the end of long day. Add in a couple of nice, soft, fluffy pillows, and you’re talking about the stuff dreams are [literally] made of!
While thinking about an easy January home refresh, these bedding staples will have you sleeping in the lap of luxury before you can wink an eye.
PILLOWS: These down alternative pillows are filled with a comfortable plush filling, and are a great option for allergy sufferers. You’ll fall asleep fast and wake up feeling fully recharged and ready to take on the day. They are both fluffy & supportive. These pillows are made with a balance of softness and firmness, and help to reduce neck pain and alleviate shoulder stiffness.
They come in standard, king, and euro sizes to suit whatever sleeping preference you may have.
PILLOW COVERS: With new pillows come new pillow covers. Switching out pillow covers is an inexpensive way to update your look and feel and refresh your home. They are also easier to store, can be washed when necessary, and provide a feeling of luxury to your bedding.
These pillow covers are extremely nice for the price point. The zippers are sturdy, the fabric is plush. These pillow covers are known by interior designers for their softness, durability, and luxurious texture.
Coming in at under $30 for the set, these pillow covers are a steal!
SHEET SETS: You may choose to go with a more expensive sheet set if you prefer, but for my money, these Mellanni Sheets from Amazon are 10 out of 10 in my book. In fact, in the last four years, I have purchased two queen sets, two king sets, and two twin sets. They are soft and luxurious. They wash up beautifully, never need ironing, and have deep pockets for those extra fluffy mattresses!
Refresh your kitchen basics
Finally, it comes to the heart of home, the kitchen. When preparing meals on a daily basis, having to do the clean up, and the care for these every day items, it really is in our best interest to purchase the best we can afford. While this is absolutely true for cookware, I believe it’s true for the utensils and appliances we use on a daily basis, as well. If you’re looking to do an easy January home refresh, the kitchen is a great place to start. I mean, we do begin and end most of our days here.
NINJA COOKWARE: I cannot tell you how many years I have struggled with bad cookware! It seems I purchase cookware and even though I treat it with kid gloves, they always end up scratched, scorched or otherwise damaged. This has even been the case with better brands of cookware. But not this time! Approximately 18 months ago we invested in a set of Ninja cookware (that came highly recommended by a professional chef we know.) This cookware does come with a price, but I cannot recommend it highly enough.
After 18 months it is scratch free, washes beautifully, and I have yet to have anything stick to it. It is oven and dishwasher safe, and the lids are versatile for each piece of the set.
SILICONE UTENSIL SET: With all the heavy lifting coming from the cookware, you want to care for it as much as you can. This silicone utensil set has been a dream to cook with.
After going through set after set from stores like Walmart or TJMaxx, this set has been a life-saver. They wash beautifully, never stain, and are dishwasher safe. The price point can’t be beat at under $30 for the entire set you see here.
COFFEE MAKER: And now let’s talk about the real champion of the day, the coffee maker! I’ll be the first to admit, I put our coffee maker through its paces.
In fact, for approximately a decade, we knew we would need to purchase a new coffee maker every single year. That’s how much we love our java! But since purchasing the Cuisinart 14-Cup machine, we have not had to replace our coffee maker one time. This thing is a work horse! And the coffee? Mmmm Chef’s Kiss!
LINEN NAPKINS: Lastly, let’s talk dining luxury. While it is convenient to use a paper napkin with your meals, having a cloth napkin is the ultimate in luxury dining. It may sound silly to say it elevates your at home dining experience, but truly, it is a very nice option to have.
If you’re more environmentally conscious, then absolutely having a cloth napkin is a must! These napkins are made of 100% Pure Linen, and offer a beautiful blend of softness and strength. They get softer with each wash. Each napkin measures 18×18 inches and is tailored with mitered corner stitching, giving the napkin a gorgeous finish.
I prefer not to iron our napkins, just because I enjoy that natural linen texture, but if you prefer a more sleek appearance, you can easily press them. They are an absolute dream!
